If mealtimes feel like a battle

You've stayed patient. You've kept offering food. You've followed the advice. And you're still stuck.

  • Your child would happily live off bread, crackers and maybe pasta.
  • Their list of "safe" foods has stayed the same for six months, or shrunk.
  • Most evenings you wonder: will dinner be touched at all?
  • The worry sits in the back of your mind: what about their nutrition?

Please know: you're not failing. Feeding children isn't easy, or we'd all have great eaters. And calmer mealtimes really are possible.

The difference

It's about how we feed, not just what

Most advice focuses on the plate: "just keep offering", "hide the veg", "they'll eat when they're hungry". It doesn't change what your child feels when they see that plate. This is a gentle, psychology-led approach that does.

🧠

Psychology-led

I'm the only Psychologist in Ireland who focuses on how we feed children. For many families, fussy eating isn't really a food problem, it's about safety, trust and habits.

🐒

Gentle & step by step

No forcing, no bribing, no hiding foods, no "just try it" stand-offs. We start with what your child already eats and stretch their comfort zone at their own pace.

Parent-led

I work directly with you, the parent. You'll know exactly what to focus on and what to say in the moment, without second-guessing every meal.

"I was aware of some of the 'little habits' we'd got into, but unsure what to do. Others advised me, but I found their advice too difficult to follow, like cutting out all snacks. Colette had a very helpful approach, in small, doable steps."

About Dr Colette

Hi, I'm Dr Colette Reynolds

I'm a Psychologist and Family Nutritionist, and a mum of two boys based in Galway. I had my own challenges feeding my boys, went looking for help, and found no one specialising in this area. So I applied my psychology training, trained further in nutrition and health coaching, and built a gentler way.

I'm the only Psychologist in Ireland who focuses on how we feed our children, not just on what we offer them.

  • PhD Psychologist & qualified Family Nutritionist
  • Health Education Advisor with the Irish Cancer Society
